Here again: the list of all the visits - and interviews - realized during this "Trip to Digitalia" in early July 2009, based on the subject to explore companies in Israel who have their say in developing and deploying tools, methods, concepts and applications in the framework of what was called the "Next Generation Digital Media Survival Kit".
The interviews were based on the assumption that IT-related, media-driven companies in Israel have a very special set of knowledge and potential for an upcoming period of time, once the European content-industry will have overcome the challenges of the paradigm-shift from analogue to digital.
Out of each of these interviews [1] two takes were chosen:
– in "take 1" you will hear about the person, "his"/"her" company and their product(s)
– in "take 3" you will here rather spontaneous answers to the question: "What will be the next challenge after the world has become digitized?"
Interview: IncrediMail – Ofer Adler (Founder and Director)
And here is the list of some more people with whom there was a personal encounter:
– Tania Amar (JVP Media Center)
– Tim Armstrong (Chairman and CEO, AOL)
– Prof. Amir Averbuch (School of Computer Science, Tel Aviv Uni.)
– Dan Barak (CEO & Co-Founder, BloggersBase)
– Hagai Cohen (Kinnernet)
– Yaël David Touati (Directrice du buerau français, Uni. Bar Illan)
– Dr. Elon A. Ganor (ehem. VocalTec, jetzt Fotograf)
– Denis Krivitski (Founder, CEO & CEO, Svoi Biz)
– Ray Ozzi (Chief Software Architect, Microsoft Corp.)
– Prof. Yossi Matias (Director, Tel Aviv R&D Center) ... and two of his friends from Israel.
The wish, to ad to this elaborated list an interview with Eli Opper (Chief Scientist, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, Israel) [2] during his stay in Berlin could not be fulfilled.
