As a follow-up of the TravelFestival Opening Night [1] it was planned to join this presentation at the ARENA at 4:45 pm, called: Am Ende der Straße [2]
As the first man ever he sails more than 700km solo, on the Pacific Ocean from Panama into Colombia on a self-built raft propelled by a motorcycle and experiences one of a kind adventure! A journey that is not only takes him across country borders but also tests his personal limits.
Constant repairs, ocean currents, storms and zero experience as a sailor Dylan faces some harsh moments of adventure. When things go from bad to worse, it’s the dolphins that come to his rescue.
Dylan traveling without a schedule, without travel guides and always looking to keep off the beaten paths to discover something unique, tells an inspiring story of a world tour and many beautiful encounters in photos and videos he made during this epic journey.
In spite of all the good private as well as professional reasons to go there and to join this fabulous group of people organizing this festival, the meetings on the occasion of the Laos-reception continued up 6:00 pm.
15:30 Cocktail Reception at the Lao Booth, Hall 26c, # 308
Of course, we enjoyed the dance ceremony, including a fancy moment stipulated by some quite modern sounds [3]
And then, as we have had the day before at the Cambodia reception, another lucky draw with free stays in several five-star-hotels and a retour-Bangkok-Airways-Tickets to Vientiane wattay v.v. (won by the author of this report ;-)
Too late for another trip all through Berlin West and East... but early enough to contemplate to celebrate Pimai Lao - the New Years’ Ceremonies in Luang Parbang [4]
(although the ticket to Vientiane is not valid at this moment [5] ;-(
