TAG EINS, der 21. Juni 2016, DAS PROGRAMM [1]

Grupo BBVA Breakfast Briefing

The business of Brexit: Implications and insights

David Birch of Consult Hyperion, Vikram Subhedar of Reuters and Taavet Hinrikus of TransferWise : This conversation opens Day One of MoneyConf with David Birch and Taavet Hinrikus discussing the Brexit referendum with a focus on the impact on Europe’s financial players and UK companies’ prospects in Europe without EU membership. Will this in turn create an alternative leading global fintech hub in place of what London currently holds a reputation ie. will Berlin be the new London? How does Brexit affect fintech? ‪

Taking on the world with cross-border payments

Brett Meyers of CurrencyFair, Philippe Gelis of Kantox, Mike Laven of Currencycloud and Silvia Sciorilli Borrelli of POLITICO: The exchange of goods or services between countries that share borders but not currencies is something that has been done for hundreds of years. With the fourth industrial revolution blurring the lines between the physical, digital and biological spheres, this global exchange has evolved completely. Our panel of experts outlines what is necessary to beat the borders in 2016

Die Empfehlung: Mike zuhören.

Trading globally as an SME: How tech changes the game

Salvador Garcia of Ebury & Katia Lang of The FinTech Times : We hear from one of the newest and most exciting leaders who are innovating foreign exchange. This talk will cover how to control and drive down transactions costs and fare against longer-standing competitors in today’s market.

The reach of remittances

Mark Roden of Ding.com and Eva Szalay of FX Week : The UK’s fastest growing technology firm alongside a reach of four billion phones. We hear from two people who know best how to securely transfer money at incredible scale across the world.

Only. "We bring more than money".

Transparency and the true democratisation of finance

Taavet Hinrikus of TransferWise

Der Ausgangspunkt ist letztendlich einfach: Banks are underdelivering and overcharging. The ambition to be very fast for very low cost.

Now a consumer business. In future a small and medium-business as well.

Vor 5 Jahren gestartet, heute 600 Mitarbeiter. Immer "customer focussed" bleiben.

"Just window dressing."

"To be a Unicorn now, I don’t think this really matters. We have to build for the long term."

Data driven finance and the best made decisions

David Siegel of Investopedia, Jay Reinemann of Propel Venture Partners and Brian Norton of Future Finance: The financial industry sees more and more automation incorporated in its services every day and yet human judgement and interaction continue to provide immensely valuable when dealing in data and information. The CEOs of Investopedia and Future Finance join us to discuss the best way to informatively serve your customers in this data-driven age.

"For us, all the data are proprietary".
Ja.

Magic in payments: At the speed of real-time

Kerry Agiasotis of Western Union, Ben Milne of Dwolla and John Heggestuen of Business Insider : Real-time payments are changing the reality of the payments environment around the world. This new standard is impressively achieved by our two panelists who will speak to the evolution of the payment process and the challenges faced by institutions trying compete in this space. ‪

Creating value with mobile payments

Nathalie Oestmann of Samsung Pay : We hear from the European Director of Samsung Pay on what it takes to deliver compelling mobile payment partnerships and solutions across the world in 2016.

Sales Pitch? Ja. "Samsung loves to speak in threes".

Juni 2016. "to bring value to the customer". "Its about partnership, not about disruption." Die Zukunft sind: "Gift Cards", "Membership Loyalty". "Transit". "Mobile Commerce in App"

 simple & accessible
 secure
 use it everywhere

Fear of the unknown: Conquering IoT in payments

Chris Ciabarra of Revel Systems iPad POS and John Heggestuen of Business Insider : Marrying IoT and payments has changed the way businesses and consumers all over the world interact. The Co-Founder and CTO of the leading iPad POS solution, Revel Systems, shines a light on IoT in payments and discusses the necessary measures to succeed with software and win over your customer base.

What do you want from a bank?

Valentin Stalf of NUMBER26, Neal Cross of DBS Bank and Jochen Wegner of ZEIT ONLINE [3]: Starting from scratch or uprooting an established empire: which is the lesser of two evils? From both sides of today’s banking spectrum, we hear thoughts on the best approaches to better banking in 2016.

"FinTechs are not reinventing finance."

How can banking become a level playing field?

Mark Mullen of ‪#‎AtomBank‬, Huy Nguyen Trieu, author of Disruptive Finance and Warren Mead of KPMG : Old laws; new models. How do you make this work for your company? Our group of experts discuss how to overcome the barriers faced by startups and what it takes to succeed in the today’s financial realm of banking. ‪

The real value of a world-class team

Cedric Bru of Taulia : The CEO of Taulia talks to building strong leadership through a united vision and how culture is hugely effective in establishing your company’s value.

"Hiring the best people? Hiring the right people to do the best."

Internationally identifying financial inclusion

Ann Cairns of MasterCard and Charles Penty of Bloomberg : MasterCard has a network of 27,000 banks around the world and is well known for its pioneering work on financial inclusion. Its President of International Markets, Ann Cairns, is a particularly strong advocate for this. ‪#‎MoneyConf‬

Empowering global commerce

Michael Rouse of Klarna, Eva Szalay of FX Week and Shane Happach of Worldpay : Digital Commerce is defined as the electronic selling and buying of goods, however it goes further than that. We hear predictions for the next 24 months from two giants of e-commerce.

Big data and bankers: What’s the right move?

Jane Zavalishina of Yandex Data Factory : Banks and financial companies are blessed with a huge amount of data on customers, transactions, credits, online logins and they were among the first to start experimenting with big data initiatives. Jane will share the use cases of how banks can adopt the new technologies successfully, where the typical mistakes are, how to compete against fast and agile startups, all in order to explain where the real ROI of big data is.

Investing in fintech: Is there trouble ahead?

Mattias Ljungman of Atómico, Oskar Miel of Rakuten UK, Vikram Subhedar of Reuters and David Blumberg ofBlumberg Capital : These titans in the fintech investment space enlighten us as to the spaces to watch over the next 12 months and what your company can do to tap into this.

"We are in a unique aera in history. At least that is what we think."
"Amazing underserved situation - even in Spain. Only 16% of the population has a credit score. And this is only negative."

The end of financial services as we know it?

Louis Beryl of Earnest, Anna Irrera of Financial News, Maria Gracheva of Yandex.Money and Johan Bendz of iZettle : There is a lot of buzz around disruptive innovation in the financial services industry and the last five years have been extremely indicative of this. Our panel of fintech giants will review.

"The Innovators Dilemma" beschreibt unterschiedliche Arten von "Disruption".
