Wolf is a pioneer in implementing digital follow-up strategies for the analogue world.

He started as early as the first ISDN networks in France, in Germany and then all over Europe (France Télécom, Deutsche Bundespost, EC DGX, EIUF  [2]) in the mid 80, he invented the first interactive TV-Show for the German broadcaster ARD (at the IFA [3] - Show in 1989), implemented the first digital databanks for French picture agencies (Gamma, Sigma, Tribun), established the first international commercial picture retrieval system for the German publishers (BURDA: Focus) … since the late 90 he was engaged to design the roadmap for the world’s first Direct TV implementation in Berlin (mabb [4] DVB-T-trial & role out) in 2003 and in 2006 he became famous for his first live on-air radio show out of a flying airplane (Lufthansa, rbb  [5] ).

In 2005 he became President of the German Chapter of the Digital Cinema Society. Since 2006 he was engaged by German state institutions to support and evaluate digital strategies in the film- and media-development and business (Fraunhofer, Land of Ideas, BMWI [6] ). Since 2007 he is on the board of the Berlin based chapter of the German Journalist Union (DJV  [7] - Berlin), in charge of online strategies in digital publishing (as a recognition of his work as founder and editor-in-chief his online Journal called “DaybyDay” ISSN 1860-2967”).

The British BBC audience may recall his name as the one and only non UK-based adjudicator in the first European audience based quiz-show “Going for Gold” (by Reg Grundy with Henry Kelly).

PS.

Analysen & Perspektiven.

Multi Media Mobile. Mobile Services in Digital Broadcasting and Telecommunications Networks. Analyses & Perspectives.
